Forte K tires from Performance Bike
Anyone using these? I'm looking for a 32 mm wide budget tire for my Miyata touring bike. How wide are the 700x35 Forte Metro K tires? If they are like most tires, they are labeled with a 35 size, but are smaller than labeled.

The Strada 28's really are 28 mm plus or minus depending on the rim I have it on. They don't come in 32 or 35 so I couldn't say, but I wouldn't count on a 35 being that much smaller.

My favorite general purpose tires for a while. They're a little sluggish compared to higher quality tires, as I'm sure you already know, but I had zero complaint about them. I'm running (narrower) Nashbar Prima 2 tires now which I think are slightly better.

Thanks, the 700x28 sound like a good alternative to the 700x35 Forte Metro K if that tire is bigger than 33mm wide.

I'm running the 35mm MetroKs on my commuter and my wife's commuter. They are nice tires for the price and pretty close to 35mm. My older son has StradaKs on his SS (which he used as his college bike) and I ran them on my last two commuters. They are not the best riding tire but they are tough.

I've been using a version of these in the 26x1.5 size for about 5 years. They work great for pavement use, and the one flat I got while using these was from a chunk of glass big enough to make some noise when I heard it hit the frame.

Have been running one of my recumbents on 26 x 1.25 Forte Metro K's for a couple of years. Great value for the money, especially as we have a performance store nearby and these are occasionally on sale. (no shipping fee!)
