I never stop anywhere on a commute, unless I have a specific errand. Maybe it's a psychological defect, but I just want to get there.

Oh yes, It is a true motivator at times, and a life saver at others, then it can be the perfect thing for a meal or just a quick refreshment when I've drank water all day. :)
