I'm pretty heavy, so I prefer high pressure tires when I can get them. my 29er commuter rides at 65 on WTB comp Nano tires. the 26" mtb uses kenda small block eights, and they run at 80psi. the 700 comfort bike with 700X40 (or 38, I dont recall) tires is also at max psi for its tire, but suddenly I cannot recall.

the R200 has some crazy 100psi capable slicks, so it runs at 100 front and back. the magnum has 20" big apples, and they are all at 60. I cant think of what the others run, but its always the max for street riding, until I lose a lot more weight.

I think I could run a bit lower. Especially in the front since my bike is somewhat upright and rear pannier loaded. I think there is a perception that softer riding is slower. If you extend the tire drop load vs pressure curve from BQ, one would expect to be able to run 30/45 on my rig. I may ride a few days at my current pressure, then drop them and see if I can see a significant difference.
