Had a doc. appointment yesterday so didn't ride.. amazing how much worse I felt not riding in! A bit windy from the south but the temps were almost perfect. Might be stormy on way home but I'm prepared. Joked my coworkers I may just start bringing in my swimsuit!

I can sometimes drop the chain outside even with limit screws set correctly since I have it set for a slight overshift to make it shift well. I can imagine that happening with a triple shifter and double ring.

Ride in this morning was cold and windy. Hopefully the wind either dies down or shifts to the northeast for the ride home or I'll be facing a monster headwind.

as i was getting ready it was absolutely pounding rain. By the time I got outside it was raining lightly. 5 mins later it was drizzling. Then it stopped. Nice ride...legs felt good!

45f this morning tried something new today. regular jersey and arm warmers with a long sleeve jersey overtop plus vest. I took vest off during the ride and got cold (did not realize how much wind it was blocking) so I put it back on. Rode a different way this morning and chased a turkey down the greenway until he ducked into the woods.
tarwheel good riding this week. Next wed and thursday looks like it could be some soggy days.

Oh it has been almost 2 weeks since I commuted. Last week was a wash with the wife gone and added responsibilities, and the week before I was only home Momday and Tuesday. I did however take my Schwinn Suburban 2 whole miles to a bar last week for a few cold ones. Looking forward to tomorrow and riding in

The commute in this morning was very nice with the temp at 47f degrees, and very cloudy skies today. I took the longer route. The trash appears less on the side of the roads as the city of Haverhill had clean up day on Saturday. Which I did volunteer some time and pick up trash at a location by my work.

Chilly ride again this morning: 41F to start. There was a pretty cool section of fog on my route. It started as being about 25 feet above the road. Then a little further down the road and I couldn't see more than a quarter mile. A little further and it was gone. Mist rising from a couple of ponds was nice too.

45 and damp, but no actual rain, just some fog in places. The east sky was starting to show the glow of sunrise when I headed out at 5:00 am, a first for me this year. I had a really pretty view from the crest of the ridge I have to cross, as I looked down in the valley and saw the fog pooling around the hills. It looked like a kind of inland lake or something.
AND I will be getting off work early today and can take a longer scenic ride home. I'll have either 27 or 31 miles for the day, I haven't decided yet.

I left the house late today at 8:05am. The good news is that I missed the 8am rush coming out of my neighbourhood. The bad news is that the rush and congestion was outside of my work because there are road construction constricting three lanes down to two that even the diamond lane was clogged. So I had no choice but to filter through it all. Even though there was hardly any traffic movement, I played it safe by ringing my bell part of the way to warn anybody trying to change lanes.

Well, it was a little rough going. This being the first real ride in 2 weeks didn't help, and traffic was just awful. It took me a good 5 minutes to get out of my subdivision and get moving. I had a car in front of me sitting in the suicide lane that missed 3 good opportunities to move. Then some more traffic further along my route that was really annoying. Temps were nice. I waiting a little longer than usual to get going, so by the time I did it was probably around 55. Silly me completely forgot to bring a water bottle

I've been biking in for my long six shift stretch, snow all last week both coming and going..nothing settled but man that cold wind sucks.. Saturday swapped out the brake pads & tuned up the NeoCity ebike then off to Toronto again 55Km .. that was a good ride only used assist on a few hills or into a nasty headwind..This week the weather is 'finally' warming up.. ride in this morning was nice, had to switch on the electrics for most of it because i was running late.. looking forward to a nice bike back home this evening, no assist just me & the bike

Excellent! Don't think there was any wind, yesterday had a small head wind. My lunch and junk was heavy though.. rather have that than the wind. Think I finally got my seat adjusted. All the way to the front and had it too high. No wonder the last owners got rid of it!

The commute in this morning was very nice, a tad chilly though with the temp at 43f degrees and cloudy skies. The longer ride in is more rural and prettier crossing over farm land and small creeks. I have been taking this road as it is getting lighter in the am.

A couple of bad headwinds sections on the way home last night. I just geared down and went a bit slower.
Chilly again in the mid 40s this morning, but a nice ride in anyway.
