Not bad this morning.. a little warm but a good breeze. Can tell it will be a hot one today. Changed my route a bit to eliminate a few hills. Adds 1/2 - 1 mile extra and a few minutes but the toll seems to less on the legs.

Bright and sunny, 68F. More severe storms forecast for this afternoon but then again it was already supposed to be here and it's not. Maybe it'll stay away

Hot hot and more hot. I managed to get in 3 commuting days last week, but this will will probably only do Tues/Thurs.

70 or so comfortable other than the humidity. Left eyeball completely fogged over. I rode 17 miles this morning and it felt great. hoping to do some more tonight...
Baron_von_trail best of luck on the way home. I will probably be doing some of the same this week.

82F, high humidity, slight head wind, and me going pretty quick this morning all contributed to me being hot and sweat when I got to work.

The hottest part... setting between 2 cars with their AC's blaring at a stop light with no breeze. Think I was starting to get dizzy. The wind seemed to pickup after thankfully.

Am I allowed to post here if I didn't ride? Still nursing the calf injury. I may try to ride tomorrow.
Last night at about 8:30 we had a storm blowing through. I went out on the front porch to watch some lightning. Usually you get the pitter patter of rain drops followed by the heavy rain. But not this time. I could hear this roar coming from about a mile away. The sky was dark gray and the sound was getting louder and louder and then suddenly it was sheets of rain coming down. That was cool to see.

Violent storms yesterday mid day and last night - didn't have to ride in any of it fortunately. Wet with a lot of debris this morning but sunny and pleasant.
We hosted a warmshowers couple yesterday who are riding coast to coast. They started in Oregon and are working their way to the Virginia coast. I'm so envious! I rode them to their first intersection this morning and really wanted to keep going with them!

We had wave after wave of thunderstorms yesterday, with heavy downpours during my usual morning and afternoon commute times, so I drove. Back in the saddle today and made it to work just fine, but wary about the afternoon commute as more storms are expected today. My bikes with fenders are getting of use lately.

I made it this morning with a little extra tacked on 16 instead of the usual 11-12 depending on route. (less humid from yesterday)
As I turned on the road for work my sidewall blew out. I heard it go as I was turning thankfully onto work property. Just walked it in. Talk about timing! My wife brought me my back up tire so I can replace and more than likely ride home in the 50% rain we are supposed to get today!
anyone have a good recommendation of a 700X 28 tire that I rolls fast for mostly paved riding but a little 5-10% gravel here and there. One Michelin I was able to do 4500miles on and the sidewall eventually blew. These I only got 1670miles.

Warm and humid this morning, but that's normal now. Looking like rain this afternoon for a nice ride home. Keeping an eye on this weekend's forecast hoping that the rain stays gone so I can get some touring miles in.

Beautiful day, despite the humidity. I saw more people out walking and running this morning than perhaps ever. A cold front is coming through today, and the weather tomorrow is supposed to be cooler and less humid. Sounds like a great day for an extra-long commute.
I wore my orange jersey today in honor of the Pluto probe. Pluto is supposed to be orange, right? Or, is that just the Disney character I'm thinking about?

Rode in a nice cool misty rain this morning, along with it was a fairly strong North wind. All in all, the rain and wind made for a nice refreshing ride due to their cooling effect. Pretty nice.

Much less humid this morning on the way in... very pleasent ride. Got my rear tire sorted out last evening and this ride was nice and smooth. Have to get to the office early the next couple days to have extra time to do lunch with a coworker Friday.

We are down to a single car in the family (just me and my bride) due to a hail storm totaling our other car. Gives me a great excuse to commute more. Rode in light rain this morning, expect to do the same for homeward commute.

Second work commute ever (well, in a decade and a half) - warm but fine. Ride was good, obnoxious lady on the train made that part hard but such is life.
Booked it down the small hill, guy at work followed me in (in a car) and commented at how bright my tail light (cygolite hotshot) is. So that's good....

I took my wife's car to the body shop this morning, assembled the bike from the trunk, and rode along the canal. No hills, dull but quick.

Grabbed the usual fixie for the the commute but noticed some weirdness in the front tire (hard to explain), so I rode my old Bianchi instead. It's a great bike that doesn't get enough love. Very pleasant commute - warm but not too hot, and negligible winds. I noticed a strange squeaking noise whenever I ramped up the wattage (uphill or starting from stop). When I was locking up, I noticed the rear wheel was off center (one side had slipped forward in the dropouts) - my guess is that the tire was rubbing the frame with the added torque. I centered the wheel and will test my theory going home.
