Looking to buy a commuting bike with some touring capabilities, but can't decide

Hello,

I'm trying to buy my first good bike (non-walmart or similar). The main use will be to commute in my city (Vancouver, Canada) but I might also want to do maybe 2-day tours once in a while. I don't think I will carry very heavy equipment but do want to have racks.

So far, I've managed to find 4 models that are within my budget (<$900) but I can't decide which one should I get as my knowledge about bike equipment, etc is limited.

Here are the options:

1) Rocky Mountain RC50 performance (2015) - $899
RC | Rocky Mountain Bicycles

2) Norco Indie 1 (2014) - $850
Indie - Urban - City - Bikes - Norco Bicycles

3) DeVinci Dublin (2014) - $850
DEVINCI

4) DeVinci Caribou1 (2013) - $850
https://www.devinci.com/bikes/bike_274_scategory_71

Can anyone give me some advice? If there's another model I should consider please let me know too.

thank you very much.

I would try them out first. Then go for the best feel for the cheapest price.

Find the best shop near you, then find bikes they carry, then test ride. TBH you can get a ton of good bikes, but having the back up of a good shop, and building a relationship can be priceless.

Go for the RC50. I recently saw it at a bike show, and it's pretty awesome.
