Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

better rim: ZTR Crest vs WTB KOM I25?

Hey!

I have decided to try 650b wheels on my gravel bike and after looking for the best yet affordable options I ended up with those two:

Stan NoTunes ZTR Crest or WTB KOM I25. Both with Novatec 771/772 hubs.

Which one would You choose and why?

What brand tire do you plan to use? WTB and Stans use a slightly different tubeless compatibility standard.

I'm in the same boat and i'm also curious.

I know it's a MTB rim but i'm a bit afraid of the Crest because of how light it is.

I didn't think I would need stronger wheels for gravel but i'm currently riding 622 Hunt 4 Season Gravel disc wheels which are titled as "gravel". I've been on them 3 months, I haven't even ridden that much because of work yet both wheels are out of true and there are 4 dents in total on the rims...
