a shop around my parts has a NOS sugino cross crank like the one on that gazelle. if someone buys that quercotti and wants to tyr a period build. i could grab it for ya.

I found the pictures of the bike that hooked me into the sport. It's a 1986 Alan. Screwed and glued. Supposedly a guy from the Alan squad won the Amatuer worlds on this frame back in 1986. This is a very “Ghetto Fab” setup, but it was enough to convince to splurge ona race bike for next year.

Go find a copy of the DVD "Pure Sweet Hell". Has actual video footage of 70's 'cross action! Crazy! So much hair-- how did they manage to get their helmets on?
