Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

I just picked this up this 1980s frame. It was originally from a shop in Belgium according to the stickers on it. If anyone has any more info on this frame I'd love to know more about this.

I found the pictures of the bike that hooked me into the sport. It's a 1986 Alan. Screwed and glued. Supposedly a guy from the Alan squad won the Amatuer worlds on this frame back in 1986. It worked well for me and I tried to do it justice in the beginner category. I found the pictures of the bike that hooked me into the sport. It's a 1986 Alan. Screwed and glued. Things of note:
Barcon shifter
Mafac brakes
Platform pedals
Soccer shoes with modified cleats and bolt studs for snake bite traction

This is a very “Ghetto Fab” setup, but it was enough to convince to splurge ona race bike for next year.
