Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

OK, here we go again. Post your favorite cyclo-cross clips and pics from the net or of your own creation.

My favorites usually come from the guys at Cyclofile. Check out the latest.

This one tends to get me psyched more than any other I've seen. That Cross Natz documentary looks sweet though.

Cyclocross fans choose to express themselves in various ways, some imaginative, some just stupid.

that cross crusade make me jealous. but the cross here is relatively new, this was the first year for legitimate, insured weekly cross practices so hopefully it'll get bigger from here.

Here's an interview I did with Meredith Miller for BicycleRadio.com last week after the Blue Sky Velo Cup and Boulder Cup...
2 very different courses.

https://www.bicycleradio.com/blog/?p=366

It's an audio interview with a slideshow laid on top...

I was watching one of the videos (2006 World Champ?) and they seem to just suddenly crash for no obvious reason. No other bike hits them or anything. Sorry for the dumb question... but why do they crash like that? Are there potholes I don't see?

Cyclocross neophyte...

They just like to crash for the hell of it. Especially during a world championship race.

It's not on par with all that but it has a bunnyhop in it and Santa and beer and I was there so it was good memories for me.
Little video I put together from the last cross of the season:

This is vintage U.S. cyclo-cross. I didn't know that there was a US national cross championship in 1976. Watch the results at the end of the clip to see who gets 5th in Sr. Men.

Thanks for the post about the 1976 race.
Reminds me of mid seventies races in my hometown in Switzerland watching Peter Frischknecht (Dad of former mountain bike star Thomas Frischknecht).
There where usually at least ten thousand spectators. High point of the year for a small town of about 4000.

I like this one, accept for the part at the end where the guy is passing out premes from between his butt cheeks. Makes me want to wash my hands after cashing my paycheck.
