Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Just Purchased a '05 Poprad

Since my '03 Zurich is in getting a some warranty work done for a crack in the frame. I decided now is the time to pick myself a cross bike for the coming season. Since I love the feel of my Zurich I decided to stick with the Lemond brand. Pretty good bang for the buck I might add. Pretty much I will keep the bike stock. For tires I might run some 25's for now since my road bike is out of commission. I am pretty pleased and can't wait for cross season to start so I can put this bad boy to work.

Yeah! I got my Poprad 3 weeks ago and I love it. I just wish the decal on the headtube looked like your Avatar.

I put a CK headset in because the Aheadset kinda sucks.

I had a 2002 Lemond Poprad. Excellent bike, great frame. I didn't know they were made in the U.S.

I was very pleased with the ride and the feel of the steel. I think the Lemond frames are a bit under-rated. It seems like you can find pretty good deals on used Poprads, and some of the other steel frames.

The first week I had the Poprad, I took it out on asphalt, gravel roads, and then some rutted single track with mild railroad-tie drops. Had to slow down a bit in the sand and corners, but definitely faster than my Unicoi in the straights. I rode it everywhere...night-time coffee runs with a light, commuting to work, rutted single track, and some road training.

have fun ~ !
