Overacting because I can
Yesterday - 1st ever broken chain
Today at start All Hallows Cat 4 race - one the first pedal stroke, throw chain and get it jammed behind/inside the cassette (zero issues before that). Struggle forever getting it out. Sprint like mad to catch sight of the tail end of the group at the barriers.
Throw chain inside off the front rings (again, no prior issues all year). Packed it in.
Decided to do the Master 3/4 race instead, which was fine, but I ended up getting lapped by the first 5 or 6 riders.
I'm doing Kinder Kross tomorrow, but if anything blows up on my bike, I'm going to church that afternoon.

That blows. Sometimes you get some really bad luck. I had my rear cable yanked out on one of my A races of the year.

How was the All Hallows course? I was registered to do the C's but have been fighting a cold and figured I needed the rest. Still fell like chit so I guess I made the right choice, but I'm pretty bummed about missing my one race of the weekend.

Pretty flat with two trips through a sand filled horse area. I could ride the first one, but the second really bogged down at the end. The nice feature was a single track trip through the woods that you had to be careful picking your way through - lots of rocks to pinch flat on. Power riders (which I'm not) liked it a lot. It was a nice venue and set up, all things considered.

Dude, go single ring. I have an other guard and chain keeper if you want it from before I went with the Paul solution.
I like beans
I bashed my large chainring against a rock last weekend at Canton. Couldn't figure out wtf was wrong, but the chain kept getting sucked into the frame from underneath. Turned out I bent the chainring.
