Bike Advice Needed! PLEASE HELP ME!!
Hi Guys,
I am looking to purchase a new bike and I am a complete novice when it comes to what I should be looking for.
All of the bike jargon goes right over my head and I end up procrastinating and not making the purchase.
Anyway, I am on a budget but I love to ride. It is a toss up between the following:
Schwinn GTX-2 Women's Hybrid Bike
or
DCO Elegance 700
Please give me any feedback, I would really appreciate it. I want to buy the bike this weekend!
Thanks so much
Kate

Hi Kate,
I would suggest getting the DCO because of the 2 choices of frame sizes, the suspension seat post (if you prefer an upright riding position), the adjustable handlebar stem, the type of shifters and what seems to be assistance from a motor. The Schwinn appears to only be available in one frame size, but is larger than the two sizes of the DCO, if you're a taller person. Of course, try out both bikes first before buying. Cheers

Few days late but the Schwinn is on sale right now at CT which might fit your budget better. I am not a fan of front shocks for a bike you ride in the city as they are heavy and don't offer much. The DCO, depending on price might be the better choice but it is a brand I have never heard of.
You could always look at CL and Kijiji for used bikes.
