We could do the donut run I guess, I haven't tried it but it seems like it would be fun. If any of us get pooped out I suppose we could just all drop together so we don't get lonely.

Okay I'm going to try to get up nice and early so I can get up to laird and eglinton at a liesurely pace. I'll be bringing a pump, tools, patch kit, spare tube, band-aids, and delicious treats... do you think I need to bring my lock as well? its pretty heavy.

did any of you guys go on this ride?
I was up at 8:30 and rode up to Eglinton and Laird around 8:50 - 9. I stopped and looked at some of the bikes (looking for a silver fixed gear Spicer) but I didn't see it. Considering I hadn't eaten any sort of breakfast, was dressed in military cut-off cargo pants and also riding my fixed gear; I thought maybe this type of ride would be for another day......

Well that was fun. Everything was okay up until we just got to keele. Some sort of sprint or something. Got dropped and never made contact with the peloton again. Ended up continuing up Keele and drafting some lady all the way up to Teston road when we finally gave up. I think it was like... 33k into the ride?
Wasted weasel we got there around 8:50 ish to 9. Bikes parked next to the garbage can.
That ride ... is fscking nuts. Main goal, stay with the peloton, yeah right. The group... was large, very large. Like 50-90 people. Hard to tell. But there were lots.

keele? I didn't know they headed west, I thought they went straight north?
can't find any posts relating to it, but is the donut run the same route each week?

Its the same route every weekend, west on eglinton, north on Bayview, after Sheppard, left on a side street, I don't know the name of the street, then, it goes north on Willowdale street, when it reach steel, right on Steeles Ave. turn right on Yonge then left again on the seconds street after the car dealer store, then a number of right and left turns, I don't know the name of the street, because of so many left and right turn I don't know the name of the sytreet that we have travelled, but its the same route everyweekend...

I had fun too, we thought we were doing pretty well keeping up with the group, but when they turned on the gas we didn't stand a chance. Still, I ended up doing 100k over the day and got some damn good exercise. I felt kind of bad for the girl we were drafting but there was no way I could have teken lead at that point!
