You guys are funny...
So no one is allowed to have an opinion?
If you don't want to hear other people's opinions, then don't post a thread.
And I KNEW it would come to the point of "it cost more than you can afford, deal with it"... LOLOLOLOLOL
WHO says I couldn't afford it and ultimately what difference would it make if I couldn't?
There's a difference between not being able to afford something and wanting something that you can be proud of that you built yourself that costs less than something "professionally" built and get EVERYTHING exactly as you want it.
(YES, I AM the "kit king"!!! There is nothing wrong with that.)
You do know that 99% of the batteries and motors on all ebikes pretty much come from China?
When did I ever say your bike is crap or say anything about it that would leave you to believe that i didn't think it was a good bike.
As a matter of fact, I said only good things about your bike.
YOU were the one calling other people's bikes "Yugos"..
I was just explaining that it IS possible to get speed and range without having to spend more than you need to.
Did I forget to mention that on my bike I also have a cigarette lighter (Kids, DON'T smoke, it's bad for you), a USB port, a 12v power socket, regenerative braking and a three speed switch for "Eco, normal and power" modes? I could also add a pedelec to mine for a whopping $15 bucks, but I have no need (or desire) for pedal assist.
all comments aside..
Do they offer any upgrade options? I'm honestly curious.
I wonder if they have an extended battery for it? Does it have regen capabilities? Any other interesting or cool options available?
I also wanted to ask, what's the range with no pedaling? Have you tested it with throttle only?

(At one point I did have two motors and two batteries on my bike, I had a "best day/range" of 116 miles without a recharge, albeit at only an average of 16-18mph for the day - Started at 6am and finished at 11:30pm with stops along the way..)
Went from West Palm Beach Florida to Fort Lauderdale to Miami to Boca Raton and back to West Palm Beach. Was an interesting and fun ride, although my butt was sore by the end of the day. Hehe.

merckx_rider - Alibaba?? Is this where you go to shop for bicycles? LOL Why do I get the feeling you work for the over price no brand name Equalizer? Is this where you import and sell your bikes from? You can advertise and go on and on about your bike and name calling people if that justify and makes you happy about paying $3600 your bike. I personally think the specs on your bike is overly exaggerated, "80 mile range" LOL Bullsh**t a lot Merck? Every con man will have his days... SpecialX is right, if you can't be a man and be able to take critics, why even post a thread? People are starting to feel sorry for you and frankly so am I. I thought I could join this thread and discuss the pro's and con's about the subject but I guess I was wrong. It's becoming a lost cause and full of sorrow. Peace everyone.

I just want to know the no pedal distance...
Once you start pedaling, the distance capability is a moot point.
Bike is 48v with a 15AH battery.
Specs say it's a 500w motor (which means it's a 10a controller - which makes sense, since it's a 15ah battery, this prolongs the life of the battery by keeping the amperage below 1c).
If it is true that it's a 10a controller/500w motor, then I could see top speed being 20mph..
But up hill, not so much... Maybe 16-18 max with no pedaling.
My battery/bike could last 150 miles, IF I pedaled most of the time and ran a 10a controller...
But I have a 20a controller and I never pedal...
I doubt he works for that bike company.... He's very happy with his bike and wants to share, which is fine... But attacking people for alternative ideas and calling their bikes crap is just wrong IMO.
Edit: I forgot to add that my bike DID start its life AS an electric bike...
It's original battery and controller did fine and then I found out that you could upgrade components..
So that's why I upgraded everything and added exactly what I wanted..
Here are some pics of the stock bike.
