What are mid-drive systems?
Hi, I'm new to the forum. Really wanted to ask about something from this article:
Start with the right bike when converting to an electric bike
and this one:
Electric Bike Mid drive Systems - eiProject
I looked up mid-drive systems and the latter was what I found. Could someone explain to me what a mid-drive motor and a hub motor is? A provided link would be nice.
We're trying to build an electric motor bike.

Hub motor --- motor is part of hub, either front or rear or both.
Mid-drive --- Motor is part of crankset.
Go to ebikesca and open the learn section.
If you're fortunate slo will answer much better than I did.
