Take a look at the tern elink D7. Not as fancy as the Vektron but it’s got a sweet price point, nice mid-drive, regular brakes, and IGH which I prefer over derailleaurs. It’s a great ride - pedal assist not throttle though.

How do you define "best"? They all have pros and cons and come down to your priorities.

I own ebikes and folding ebikes but not both, and one of the folding ebikes I own is Tern Joe, so I can recommend Tern just on the basis of the fact that they seem to produce good ordinary bikes.

Brompton looks like the "best", in my opinion, if your base is the best folding bike first, then add a useable electric assist.

Tern has huge problems with frames snapping in half and either not doing enough to track and solve the problem, or simply not understanding how big the problem is. I would never in a million years ride an electric folding Tern.

Bike Friday Pakit also comes in an electrified version. And the BF NWT and Pocket Llamas can be retrofitted easily. Bike Friday 20" Kit

I wonder if it will be limited to 25 klh or if they will do a separate spec for the US.

I'm sure they'll run it to 20mph, which is the legal limit in most of the country. Keeping it at 15 would be a financial catastrophe in this market.

Really simple programming change to go from 15 mph to 20 mph. 16" wheels are ideal for ebikes. Rapid rotation at slow speeds.

You should open a new thread, since it's weather a folding bike or bicycle at all.
I recommend the Xiaomi M365.

In terms of folding bike, I would recommend Dahon. They also has some e-folding that you can find on their website.

Can I get a Dahon E-Vigor in China? I just checked their website but I couldn't find it.
