Here in Israel where cars cost twice what they cost in the US and especially Jerusalem where it is very hilly, we see A LOT of eBikes. With the traffic volume and often too narrow streets, meaning slower speeds, an eBike is a good alternative to a car. I'm not a huge fan of them at the moment because most of their operators are pretty irresponsible, but if I ever get an eBike, I told my wife this is the one I want. I've seen this guy all over town but never had a chance to snap a picture before. He is definitely doing it in style. Reminds me of Indiana Jones without the whip or Fedora.

There are lots of possibilities for a good eBike. Older cruiser styles should become a candidate. For inspiration, maybe look at Ruff Bicycles: Ruff They look a LOT better in person than on the web site. But the longer chassis is nice.

Your fellow has a longer chassis. The rear wheel is definitely behind his position. Gives more room for "stuff" (batteries, controllers, panniers, racks, what have you ...). Fat tires help too
