What’s the timer on the Bafang display supposed to display?

What’s the timer on the Bafang display supposed to display?
Mine drifts between displaying 11:something and 13:something. Sometimes it ticks up with clock time, sometimes it loses an hour mid-ride. It’s neither cumulative time ridden nor usable time remaining at current levels of assist, as far as I can tell.
At least the mileage counter only shows increases.
