UPP batteries-

I'm looking to replace 48V 20Ah UPP004 triangle batteries that are blacklisted by CPSC.

Are newer UPP batteries safer? Was it just my model that is problematic, or is the company just continuing to produce defective batteries?

AFAICT UPP hasn't changed their policy of producing suspect batteries, and even if they do, what's to say they won't revert back? The only batteries that I would trust are manufactured by Grin (Canada) and em3ev (China), although I've used a domestic manufacturer that I won't recommend because they are abhorrent in communication and meeting delivery schedules.
