Mid Drive
I've been thinking of installing a mid-drive unit on my recumbent.
However, I have safety concerns , as the mid-drive keeps the pedals turning.
( Note: I have a LaFree Sport, which is chain drive, but the pedals can be back-pedalled, or stay motionless, while the motor is pulling the chain).
Then I saw this:

Has anyone tried this?
Mid-Drive , for those who don't know, is a chain drive (as opposed to hub motors).
AFAIK, mid drive units will only fit recumbents, because there's not enough space to mount one on a Diamond Frame.
So the idea I have is to install both the ratchetting power-cranks AND a mid drive.
Has anyone tried it before?
