ElectroHub kit from fiveflagsmotorbikes

Doing some pre-purchase research and have narrowed my choice down to the Wilderness Energy BL36. Earlier today I bumped into the fiveflagsmotorbikes.com web site and found a 600w, 36v "ElectroHub" front wheel conversion kit (https://www.fiveflagsmotorbikes.com/elechubmotor.htm) for $397.95 incl shipping. This is a pretty good price for a kit that includes batteries (3-12v 12ah SLA). The description sounds very similar to the WE BL36 that I've settled on for my needs and budget. I've found a lot of information on this site, as well as others, concerning the WE BL36, but not much about the "Electrohub" kit. Does anyone on this forum have any firsthand experience with this kit and can offer me an honest opinion on whether it is a good value for the money? I'm a little strapped for funds and the $100 savings in price (complete) would be nice, but I am not interested in saving a few bucks by buying an inferior kit. Thanks for any information you can give. Tony

If the WEBL36 is a rear wheel motor, I would suggest that. It seems the distribution of weight with a front motor makes the bike less stable than a rear. I've ridden front hub motors, and I can't put my finger on it, but maneuvering on city streets is more difficult.

Thanks for the reply. They are both front hub motors which is what I was looking for. I am more interested in finding out if anyone has installed the "Electrohub" from fiveflagsmotorbikes.com and had any advice for someone seriously looking at them.

could it be the gyro effect on a front hub motor...
you notice it with a front wheel drive car because
the steering wheels are also driven.
try taking a rim for a bike and hold it out at chest level
see how easy you can turn it side to side?
now repeat with the wheel spinning and you will see what i mean.

thx wasp

sorry this was for ianrodness
