problem with controller

hi all i have just received a new 72v controller from ecrazyman china everything looked okay connections all matched up with my motor fine. upon trying the throttle the motor turned but made a very loud noise also it only turned at 25mph should be around 50mph. whats wrong is it a sensor wire incorrect ? or is the controller faulty> thanks in advance crimsonsnake.

There could be a speed limiter on your electric motor. If you got any kind of instructions, check them to see if they mention a speed limiter.

Have you run this motor before or is this the first time running it? I can not understand why a controller good or bad would make the motor noisy.
