Kudos for ebikes.ca
Hi All
Thought I would take a moment & give ebikes.ca a ”Pat on the back.”
I ordered an eZee Bike Conversion Kit, 26 inch rear wheel, 8 speed freewheel.
Went with the 37V 14Ah Polymer pack
As well as the Cycle Analyst.
I had sent them an email asking someone to call me to discuss my order before I actually submitted it.
I received a call from them the next evening & spoke with a very knowledgeable person discussing the various pieces that I was going to order.
The kit arrived in a timely manner & was well packed.
Quality is something that is hard to describe but easy to recognize ,this kit was of very good quality.
The best part is that it “Just Fit” together without any trouble at all.
I mounted it on a “Marin” hybrid, & most people do not even realize that it is an ebike.
The range & speed are awesome, surpassing my expectations.
Overall I am very happy with them & would recommend them highly.

Well that sort of thing is good to hear once in a while!

I also got an eZee kit + CA from ebikes.ca but with the 20" rear wheel and 9-Speed freewheel in my case. Powering it with 12s2p LiPos which is closer to 46V nominal.

No problems in 1800km...

Good to know, i am planning on fitting the same kit to my Big Dummy next month.

What range are you getting, and what sort of use are you making of the motor?

I found the tendency is not peddle at all, but that is not why I put the motor on.
Still it is nice to let the motor do the work & just help it out on the hills.
But to answer your questions, I figure that no peddling I could go 30KM.
With moderate peddling, & moderate speeds I can get 50KM.
And with steady peddling , maybe not using the motor downhill, as well as on the flat once in a while, I figure I could go 80KM, and that is without killing he battery, allowing a couple of ah left.
Hope this helps.

That's useful information. My commute is about 40km with a couple of typical errands included. Both ends finish with uphills, not extreme, but they kinda get to me after the rest of it. I would use the motor to help me get up them faster, as well as acceleration from the couple of traffic lights I deal with, plus some boost on the not-quite-flat stuff, to keep a better speed up. Will have to be disciplined on the pathways, I find the beginner cyclists who scream through with the throttle wide open on narrower sections infuriating. I would imagine that kit will do nicely, should get enough range to have no fear about detouring to the cheaper supermarket on the way home. I'm also keen to find out what help it will be when the Winter starts, 2" of snow really ups the workload.

Thanks.

Yup got their gear. I usually stay away from expressing a preference for a vendor, but if you are in Canada...
