Raleigh Sports Restoration / Ebike Conversion
Bought this bike when I was 13 years old. Recently converted to electric. Takes care of my 5 mile commute easily. Haven't driven my car to work in two months, and I don't want to. This thing shoots me home in as little time as a car, because I can legally ride around congestion on sidewalks, sift past standing cars on their right, and it goes about 30MPH to boot!

Ornery,
Amazingly simple , maybe not too much sophisticated but it does its job - good for your 5 miles trip.
One LESS car on the road.
Javal,
just curious, because your are from Sweden, do you ride in winter?
I live in very close climate condition to Sweden - Alberta, Canada, severe winters here also.
Are you close to Baltic see or farther North?
BTW I would be proud of my goverment environment goals IF I WERE Swede.
Not so in Canada with its Alberta dirty oil.
I should be living in Sweden.

Miroslaw,
I'm willing to bet most people you consider "Green", are merely looking out for their own wallet. Me? Not Green at all. I simply like riding, without the sweat. The day we get the battery perfected, and priced right, will be the day everybody goes "Green". Electric cars will outperform internally combusted cars & small trucks in every way, and people won't be able to get on board fast enough.

30 mph on vintage bike?
I question the wisdom (safety) of riding a non suspended vintage bike at 30 MPH - especially weaving between cars and riding on sidewalks. I have an electrified Yuba Mundo (cargo bike) capable of 26 - 28 mph, but the ride gets rough above the low 20's without suspension. Reaction time shorten and drivers don't expect bikes to be going 30. An accident at 30 could result in far more serious injuries than one at 15 - 20 mph. while it is nice to get to and from work quickly, I think the speed is over-rated and un-safe.

My car is capable of 100MPH. Guess what? It rarely goes above 70. Rode my commuter about 12 miles this morning to pick up some fresh bagels. Only time it hit 30, was when I passed a roadie, who couldn't be bothered to stop at a red light.
Riding a bicycle, electric or not, is never "safe". Just had an accident a couple weeks ago, riding a non electric on the sidewalk, about 2MPH.

you can go 30mph on any bicycle but chances of crashing increase.
If you tires are pumped to even only 50 PSI the pebble bigger than 3-5cm on asphalt can easly throw you out of balance if tire ride over it.
and cause you to crash.
I ride my E+ regularly 45-48 km per hour /30mph/ and I really take chances. Even small piece of wood, bigger bolt anything can cause you to crash.
I had some close calls when tire rode over bigger pebble and slide down causing me to fight for balance.Fortunately E+ is verywell low center of gravity bicycle.
