First Post: Electric Conversion on a Northrock XC6
I'm a college student in California looking for an E-Bike to climb the hills for me so I can enjoy the ride down. I'm new to mountain biking, but I've been out a few times on a Northrock XC6 I'm borrowing from a friend.
I am familiar with model airplanes electronics (batteries, speed controllers, brushless motors) and I'd like to make this bike electric using a hub motor.
Right now I'm looking for suggestions in terms of batteries, motors, and speed controllers. Regenerative breaking doesn't matter a whole lot and I was planning on just getting a hobby speed controller (like Turnigy from HobbyKing.com)
