hi everyone, i'm new on the forum. i have a currie e-ride. it's quite old i believe, not sure because i'm borrowing it from my brother for a while, to get to and from work mostly. well i work at 4 tomorrow, and suddenly the battery won't lock to the frame. it almost feels like i'm trying to twist a stripped screw when i try to lock it in. i was hoping someone might have an effective short term fix for this, as i need the bike to get to work. also, how difficult is it to replace just that little lock? the part on the frame looks fine to me, though i don't much know what to look for. any help you could offer would be super appreciated. thanks!

Check to besure the locking pin is aligning with the hole in the battery pack. Also be sure you can feel the pack pressing down on the spring pins under the pack. If the pack is going down and it is a side to side alignment problem you can bend slightly as needed. The lock do tend to fail though. So simply tie the pack down from top to bottom. Use strong string or rope. Be sure you have the pack tight on the spring pins under the pack.
Replacing the lock takes about 3 minutes. Only 2 screws.
BTW, Doesn't the battery rack hold 2 batteries? Use the other side of the rack.
