Any good? Kelly controller for cyclone

For the cyclone 960w, Taiwan man says 30% more torque with kelly controller (I have the 650w controller converted to 960w with resistor) is this extra power possible.?
I started my increase in bike power from 500w --- to 650 still 24v it was less power or same as 500w----with resistor added to controller as specified increased to 36v which was an increase in power--but controller cuts out. Then suplied with a too lower rated Kelly one & sent it back-it was like using a 300w but more torque. For this 960w with adding batteries together its realy cost me in BMS's etc so made 12a 36v pack , i supose to finish the job best get the best but is it?
