Orfos flare throw distance?
Anyone have an Orfo and would care to share how much light the front flare throws on the ground? Does it illuminate enough for you to have a chance to avoid something at average speeds (1o-13 mph)?

Bikes: Co-Motion Cappuccino Tandem,'88 Bob Jackson Touring, Co-Motion Cascadia Touring, Open U.P., Ritchie Titanium Breakaway, Frances Cycles SmallHaul cargo bike. Those are the permanent ones; others wander in and out of the stable occasionally as well.
I do not have one but did consider it. It is an array of white LEDs without a reflector and is designed for being seen, not for seeing. It throws light all over the place to be seen. It does spill light all around in front of you (close by) but is not suitable to replace a decent headlight for riding at your speeds. It throws light on your wheel, cables, handlebars, etc. which I find distracting in other such lights. The tail light however is MAGNIFICO! Get a real headlight with a shaped beam for far less cash.

Putting lights into two main categories, the Orfos Flare is to be seen.
