A friend gave me his "old" iPhone 4s. Great little doodad. I've been toting it on bicycle rides instead of my compact cameras -- the GPS tags my photos and videos even without a data plan, which is handy when I want to return to a site with my regular cameras and tripod.

But I'm having trouble finding a mount designed to record video while riding. All the mounts I see emphasize holding the phone for using maps, GPS, fitness apps, listening to music/podcasts, even watching videos. But none of 'em specifies whether the mount is suitable for holding the iPhone securely for recording video in the conventional horizontal/landscape orientation.

Besides a handlebar mount, I'm open to suggestions for iPhone 4s mounts for chest wear. Probably won't try helmet mounting, it'd be too heavy and I already have a couple of lightweight to-be-seen lights up there.

FWIW, I have a tripod socket type mount for my standard digicams, but don't see any adapters to rig the iPhone to a tripod socket type video camera mount.
