Anyone remember the original bike exerciser "video game?"
Used an SNES and a few games with it to actively change resistance (like zwift does.)

What about the Schwinn Velodyne, I actually used one during one winter.

Not as sophisticated as anything with a real screen, but that multiline graphics display did show you where you were in relation to the peloton and the course.
