My mapping project.
I'm putting together a regional mapping guide for the NYC metro area using google maps.
https://www.google.com/maps/@40.6404...M.kuciO79Ja_vs
some of the maps are planned routes, some are actual routes that i recorded with gps, the more detailed routes are the actual ones.
I'm recording tracks using wahoo and strava, export to gpx, then import into google my maps.
click on the movie camera icon for a youtube video of the ride, taken with my black mobius camera.
i wish there was a way to match the youtube video directly to the gps route, basically show a little biker icon on the map where the youtube video corresponds to.
The car icons show parking information.
I'd like to add some more type of info, but the map would be a bit too cluttered.

If you know the location of each video you can get latitude and longitude values, put them into the google table column, along with icon URL column

in the comments are some pointers on using google my maps. main point is go back to your main google-mymaps page and click on one. its a pretty dumb system but that puts the map info on google-maps instead of mymaps which means streetview info will be available. the url shouldn't have view or edit in it. it if does it points to mymaps.

I seem to only be able to import one gpx file per layer.
