Any experience with HRM-SWIM?

I need an HRM to use swimming, mostly in alpine lakes. I'm leaning toward the HRM-SWIM because it seems to do everything I need, but I'm open to alternatives too. Anybody have experience with this, or other ways to track HR while swimming? (I'll be using it with a Garmin Fenix 3 watch.)

The HRM Swim is mainly designed for pool use. The HRM Tri is mainly designed for open water swims and triathlons.

The swim will work fine in the lake but it's a lot larger than the Tri and is uncomfortable to wear for other activities..

If you do not plan on swimming in pools then I'd get the Tri because it's more comfortable and can be used for other activities as well..

Thanks.

I already have an HRM-RUN for the bike and for running. It's really only swimming that I don't have covered.
