A few questions about Tablets

So I have a Nexus 7 that I bought 2years ago. It seems to be getting progressively slower. So I was thinking about getting a new tablet. Maybe a Samsung. I was wondering if there are "faster" tablets? Or do they all run at the same speed?
Thanks!
