Union bottle generator
Okay, so I'm a newbie here on the forum.
Last weekend I picked up a 1971 Schwinn Suburban with the 6V AC Union bottle generator. And I want to add a bridge rectifier to the lighting system so I can add 6volts worth of smallish sized rechargeable batteries. My goal isn't for maximum light brightness. I want to still retain the old inefficient incandescent bulb, it's a nostalgia thing........
I just want to be able to power my headlight for just a few minutes while being stopped at a red light. For batteries I have some nickel metal hydride cells that I think would work great.
I'm not opposed to building the bridge rectifier, I was just hoping to find something off the shelf I could use.
