Bontrager Trip 100 and IPhone compatable side by side?

Bontrager Trip 100 and IPhone compatable side by side?
Installed the Bontrager 100 on handlebar near my IPhone holder. Use the IPhone for music but when it is in the cradle, the Bontrager 100 does not show speed or distance. Any experience with this issue.

it is not the same model, I have the 300 with speed and cadence sensor installled, I use them side by side. the iphone picks up my speed/cadence sensor (duotrap) via blue tooth and records it to strava, the 300 displays everything all the time, it uses ant+ I believe.
