iPhone apps for following gpx tracks

does anyone use an app like BikeGPX or GPX Navigator for downloading and navigating with GPX routes?
or are you folks using RideWithGPS / Strava?

i normally track my rides with MapMyRide and have started using MTBproject for following unfamiliar mtn bike trails. but i'm looking at some bikepacking routes with GPX tracks available for the taking and i'd like to be able to use those in the near future.

i've so far diligently avoided Strava for fear that i would become obsessed, as i tend that way. i've avoided RWGPS because i'm cheap and haven't needed the road route navigation features just yet. i have a lot of data stored in MMR, but if i need to switch, i'll switch.

I'm curious about this too, but I'm also interested in something that works offline. I like Maps.me, it has excellent offline maps and I can even load whole kmx files with multiple layers from google earth in it, but it doesn't provide turn by turn routes (as far as I can tell).

Sign up for the free version of RideWithGPS and look in the Find section of the website. It will contain all the routes that others have uploaded in your area. You can select as many routes as you want and copy them to your routes page so you can have them when you want them. The RWGPS app is one of the very few phone apps that provides turn by turn so you may want to consider downloading it to your phone. I'm not sure how it will work in the deserts of Nevada but it's worth a try and it won't cost you anything.

I'm not sure about the free phone app version of RWGPS having turn by turn navigation, since I don't use it. However, routes created with a free RWGPS account on their website give turn by turn notifications on my Bolt. Since I've only had by Bolt for a week, I created my normal route on RWGPS last night just to see how it works. Downloaded it to my Bolt and rode this morning. The Bolt doesn't do voice but every turn notification was show in advance of the turn.
