Low battery indicator on Sigma BC5.12?

Hi new first time poster here. I use a SIGMA BC 5.12 speedo/ODO etc on my motorcycle in lieu of broken OEM unit. Works great until battery dies, without warning & I lose my ODO reading. 3x now & just have to guess where it might need to be reset to.

Should there not be a low battery indicator on this very smart unit? Else I just have to mark calendar & note mileage while I pop a new button in on regular basis but not sure what that might be.

Tried to reach SIGMA online, never answered. Tried to call. Answering machine sez they are too busy, call back, no way to leave message.

Thanks if you have an answer.

Yours is an entry level computer. When you check on the Sigma site you can find that this one has no battery warning indicator. To see that, I had to activate comparison of yours with a higher one, on their website. If this is critical, you can get one of the higher ones. They are not overly expensive.

Well thanks, that is what I was afraid of. I think I will just change batteries every 6 months or so after first noting the accumulated amount.

As to getting a new one,...well you can ask my wife. I am a world class cheapskate, Olympic Competitor. The reason I have the sigma on the bike,....too cheap to get the OEM speedo repaired.

Thanks again for your response.
