Blu Unlocked cell phone?
Looking for a dual SIM card cell for our next European bike tour. Also want it unlocked.
Has anyone had any experience with the Blu brand?

My son got a Blu R1 HD for his 13th birthday, and it has managed to survive in the hands of a teenage boy for over 16 months now. Remarkable, really. Can't beat the price for the size-- the home screen ad models are under $70 from Amazon. If there's a drawback, it's the limited choices in terms of cases. Other than that, they work perfectly well.

Since about February 2015, US Cell phone carriers have been required to unlock all phones that have been "paid off".

US carriers will now unlock your phone, thanks to law change | ZDNet
However, there is a new policy of blocking/bricking stolen phones (or phones with unpaid contracts). So, unlocking phones from the carrier is easy... as long as you actually own the phone without contract, or are maintaining the pre-existing contract while traveling.
