Wahoo ELEMNT Bolt + Garmin Cadence Sensor

I've been trying without any success so far to pair my ELEMNT Bolt with a Garmin cadence sensor. I'm using this one:

From all I've read it should be compatible but the Bolt just doesn't ever see it. I have paired numerous other devices with the Bolt including the old-school Garmin Speed/Cadence Sensor.

Anyone else done this successfully and have any tips?

Thanks.

Should work without a problem. I'm using the speed sensor of that pair on some wheels I have and it works fine. I used to use the cadence sensor until I got a power meter.

Thanks! I guess it's possible that my Garmin Cadence Sensor is bad. I originally purchased it to use with an Edge 305 (ancient) and later discovered that it was not compatible with that unit. But I've since upgrade to the Bolt and was hoping to use this sensor. I guess I'll try changing out the battery although I do see an LED light up inside when I spin it around on the crank arm.
