I just subscribed to Cyclemeter Elite and love it so far. But I can't seem to find the Apple Watch Cyclemeter app on my series 3 watch, and I can't get Cyclemeter to read HR from my watch. I have a new Garmin Dual HR strap but I'll send it back and buy a set of gatorskin tires instead if I can get it to pull HR from my Apple Watch lol.

I'm thinking I may need to open the Cyclemeter app on my watch for HR to work but I can't dang find it. Have any of your been able to use HR data from your watch to Cyclemeter?

Ok I figured it out. I uninstall the Cyclemeter app, shutdown and restarted my iPhone and my watch, then reinstalled the Cyclemeter app. This time it installed the Apple Watch app and all is well. That just saved me $65! Sweet!

Just say no to Gatorskins. Unless you absolutely need the puncture resistance.

Upon your reply I canceled the Gatorskins lol. You got me thinking that I never order anything without researching, so I've been researching and decided on spending about $30 more and going with a set of Conti GP5000s. Seems to still have ok puncture protection and much less RR than the Gatorskins. If I have a lot of flats then I'll look more into a tougher tire (at the cost of RR). Thanks for the tip.

Edit: Dang I dunno, the Vittoria Rubino Pro IIIs look good too. I'm still trying to make a final decision.

GPs are considered an excellent tire. For at least a decade the consensus has been that they're a very good balance/combination of rolling resistance, grip, and puncture protection. For sure they're not as tough as Gatorskins, but they roll much more smoothly (and most people will say they give a more comfortable ride at the same pressure) because of it. I used and loved GP4000s for many years until I bought rims that turn out not to be compatible with them.

Anyway, I hope you like them and that I didn't steer you wrong!

The Vittorias are probably superb. I can tell you, I find the predecessor to the GP5000 to be outstanding. You can't go wrong with either one. I have 28mm GP4000S-II tires.

I went with the GP 5000s. They came in today and I'll be installing them this evening and riding on them Saturday. Can't wait. I'm coming from a wore out set of Hutchinson Fusion Comps so it should be noticeable. Thanks all.
