Anyone tried one of these?
A Chinese 18650 battery powered light - doesn't have a model name from what I can tell. I've generally been happy with 18650 powered lights, however mine have adjustable beams, this one doesn't seem to. If it comes with an optimized pattern it might be okay. The pictures make it seem like it puts out a bright bath of light but of course ads can be deceiving.
Anyone tried one?

It doesn't look impressive. If it were cheap, I might try it for fun.

I would skip that one and get this one. It is tried and true:

There are so many inexpensive 18650 light offers on Ebay, dx.com and AliExpress, that chances of someone trying out any particular one are very low. However, I tried several and beam and other qualities were really bad. I had hard time figuring out how to use them - certainly not for riding. I ended up getting Rofis for regular use. I also tried Fenix and Nitecore, which were reasonable, but I resold them as Rofis was more versatile. There was also some Korean midprice brand that was reasonable. The inexpensive ones are in practice useless and cannot be resold.
Correction: The intermediately priced brand that was of reasonable quality was actually the Chinese WOWTAC, there on Amazon and elsewhere.
