anyone here using the varia with rideWithGPS on their phone as the display/"head unit?"

it looks like a pretty clean integration... is that little bar on the left side of the screen visible enough? i always ride with my phone on the bar, and always use rideWithGPS, but don't always have it "open" or the screen on. any chance it can "wake up" the screen?
