DIY Garmin screen repair?

Today I was standing in the kitchen, fiddling with the buttons on my virtually-new Garmin Edge 530. Evidently I didn't have a good enough grip on it, and it leapt from my hands onto the tile floor, cracking the top left corner of the screen. The cracks just touch the top right 1.5mm of the display area. My main concern is that moisture will get in and REALLY screw things up. (I live in Oregon, so that is a real issue.)

Any suggestions on patching things up? Super glue? Helicopter tape? Shoe goo? I'd really rather not send it out for repair if I can avoid it.

Thanks in advance

Also consider whether a screen protector might cover the area sufficiently?

Call Garmin support. Tell them what happened and see what they say. Maybe they'll send you a refurb'd unit, maybe they'll won't. You'll never know if you don't ask.

A screen damaged a little bit might be just something that will get worse over time. My Edge 500 from circa 2010 still works, I expect my Edge 530 to still work in 2030. Providing I don't do something to damage it.

Thanks. All of the "Garmin screen repair" videos on Youtube seem to be "Here is how you take out the old screen and put in a new one".
