Would love to use my new Bolt 2 on other bikes I have but the other mount that comes in the box is attached via zip ties?? What nonsense. Is there a garmin-style mount that exists that uses the rubber bands instead - ya know, so you can move it? I tried the googles but maybe I just wasn't searching right.

Moving the mounts with rubber bands ain't all it's cracked up to be.

Amazon shows several rubber band mounts. The problem I think will be stretching the rubber bands from moving the mount. I bought extra mounts for each bike. Ebay has some at reasonable prices.

I don't want to strap on zip ties because then you gotta scratch up your stem when cutting them off with a utility knife. I swap parts all the time so it'd be really inconvenient.

I've had the same Garmin mount & bands for my Garmin 200, since 2011 without any issues.

You can use diagonal cutters or nippers to remove the zip ties without scratching your stem. Heck, fingernail clippers work.

Is Whoo a 90 deg. From Garmin mounts ?. Check on Amazon, there are may styles, out front, stem cap mount that places the computer on top of the stem, stem front plate screw mounts, etc.,,. Lots of inexpensive stuff available.

The out front mount is super easy to move from bike to bike. I've been doing that for a while. You can get it to work on a 25.4/26.0 handlebar with a rubber shim or two. They make knock off mounts if you don't want to buy Wahoo's mount.

I don't trust rubber band mounts after a few months so I reinforce mine with removable putty, like Blu-Tack, Loctite or Scotch brand blue or white removable putty. Works great. I've used the stuff for years to attach video camera mounts to my helmets, without using the more permanent 3M double stick tape often included with mounts for cameras and other electronics.

On my most-ridden bikes, I use Blu-Tack putty to hold a USB battery on the top of the frame near the seat post to simultaneously charge and run my rear-facing video camera, which has a three year old battery that won't hold a charge more than about 30 minutes. With the USB battery and cable it'll run for hours. So it's pretty secure stuff.

For now I'm using a combination of Blu-Tack gum and rubber mounts to secure my XOSS bike computer to the top of the frame behind the headset (the stem and handlebar are already full up, between two headlights and a front-facing camera). But I'll probably get one of those computer mounts that attaches to the headset cap or stem clamp for the handlebar. Looks cleaner, easier to see.

As Bald Paul noted, you can use fingernail clippers to nip old zip ties without scratching the bike. I've also used zip ties for years to arrange the criss-cross cables on my bikes with bar-end shifters and old school brifters. I have a pointy jaw pliers style toenail clipper that's never been any good for toenails but works great to snip zip ties and similar items, so it stays in the tool box.

I know but it requires a tool and time.
Unstrapping the bands and moving to another bike is way faster.

I have 3 bikes I ride consistently to commute or do social/taco rides on so I want to be able to hot swap between bikes.

But from what I'm seeing here it looks like the answer is no.

You can use any Garmin-style mount you want with the Wahoo to Garmin adapter.

$15 plus shipping for something that should be universal or - well, let's honest, this should cost $2.
