Moon Meteor Storm Dual stuck in flashing mode

The manual says pressing the power button with three second interval turns on the steady mode. Apparently the timing has to be very precise.

The flashing mode never gets used, it just randomly goes to flashing mode while switching steady light levels.

This headlight model might be too obscure and gimmicky to get to know more user experiences.

Are you releasing the button before it goes steady? Maybe your three second count started sooner then it's three second count started.

You probably have quite a few seconds to hold it down before something else happens.

I have tried it many times but nothing seems to work. Previously was able to return it back to normal by accident.

Have you tried to contact the maker? They have a 1 year warranty depending on whom you purchased from. https://moon-sport.com/warranty/

It was turned on and flashing already when you held the button down wasn't it? Sometimes from the off mode those button functions don't work.

Turns out pressing with 3 second interval is not required. The button must be held for three seconds. It didn't work when trying previously for some reason. Now it's back to normal. Had to use boost mode to get steady light output but there is no difference in brightness compared to normal mode requiring twice the current (0.7 Amps vs 1.3Amps).

Oh! So you weren't holding the button down for 3 seconds? Yeah, when you see such information about pressing the button to get to a different mode on anything electronic today, it's almost always going to be that you hold the button down for that amount of time before letting up.

It clearly says press and hold for 2-3 seconds in the manual.

I'm sure it did, but in your post I responded to, it sort of sounded like the issue was that you were pressing the button, letting up and then pressing it again 3 seconds later.

But I can see it might be a little ambiguous how you meant that to be taken. So maybe it's just best to pretend we don't quite speak the same language and just pretend the last few posts never happened! <grin>

I thought this thread was about the lunar lander that is now tipped over but still "functioning". Had to see what flashing mode on the moon was.
