Edge 305 updates

My unit show the Edge 305 at software v 3.20 as above, but the GPS says 3.00. Is that the chipset version? (even though the latest listed is 2.90?) If so, I find the discrepancy rather curious.

The Garmin website page appears to be not getting updated regulary these days. Garmin appears to be pushing people to use the WebUpdate tool that they have.
I have an Edge 705 and there have been two update to it since the unit was released. Neither one is on Garmins update page. The only way to get them is to use the WebUpdater.
Have you tried the WebUdater to see what it says for your software and firmware versions?

Yep, sure did. It said I had the latest version already installed. I expected to need some updates. But I guess the unit I got was pretty fresh.
That's interesting that Garmin is not keeping the update page up-to-date.
Out of curiosity, did you have a 305 before you got the 705? If so, how would you compare the screen readability in daylight conditions? I find the 305 a bit dimmer than I would like when the sun is in front of me. When the sun is behind me, the display is fine.
