motorcycle horn
Hi guys,
I know there have been a few threads on this, but haven't really found a concrete answer to my questions.
How much amperage will a 6V horn require?
Can this be achieved with AA batteries?
Thanks
Daven

Get a Faimm if you're going to do this. Most stock horns are really wimpy.

this horn:

draws 10 amps. With 8AA's, you would need around 100 watts to run, 200 watts for 4 AA's, etc.. I am not sure how fast you can draw down the batteries without damaging them. You could get about 15 minutes on the horn per charge with 8 Energizer NIMH's, I think. Someone will tell me if I flubbed the math. Good luck.
