Assistance with CS600 and ProTrainer 5

Hi,

Okay - I'm using my Polar CS600 - no power right now, just speed and HR. It is collecting speed, distance, and HR. I can see all of this as I ride, no problem.

However, when I upload it to the computer, I have only been getting speed, distance, altitude. Nothing from the HRM.

I doublechecked the head unit and the HR info is there - I can see how long I spent in each zone, avg HR, peak HR, etc.

I just can't seem to get it to the computer.

Oh - one more thing, and I can't seem to find it in the documentation - on Wednesday I had it go "Zone Lock" on me. I don't know what it means, but that seems to be the start of it.

One other little thing - when I get an exercise uploaded, I always get TWO - one with all the info and one that (prior to Wednesday) had a second copy of the HR info. . .

Can I get a little assist here? I want the HR info to get on to the computer. . . The second copy is an annoyance. . .

Haven't had any of the problems you had.

I'm not in front of the software either so I can only give you a general guide.
1 of the icons above the graph when you click on has a dropdown with what you want listed, make sure thats checked.

Its kinda vague in the user manual, but you might also need RR checked in the computer settings.

My Setup

i use the CS600 w/ HRM only also. I haven't had any of the problems mentioned. I'm on the road this week so I'm not in front of the unit and software either. However, if no one has helped you by this weekend I'll go through everything and all my setting when I get home, and see about uploading some screen shots.

We might be able to see whats different by comparing. I'd also suggest calling Polar if that's an option.

It was strange - I set up a new exercise with all the defaults (except for the beeping in various zones. . .annoying) and it was DL'ing my HR info just fine.

We went riding today, same exercise, same method of starting. . . and no HR anymore. . . CRAP. sigh.

Polar cs660 hrt transfer problem

Hi
I purchasd a cs600 in April last year 2007 and after a while it had the very same problem as yourself. Failure to transfer the heartrate details to the pc for viewing .
I got in touch with Polar direct and explained the problem to them they were helpful. The unit was returned to them and returned to myself with the same problem . I again got in touch with polar and returned the unit eventually they replaced the unit with a new one under warranty last December but again now it seems to be developing the same problem again . The unit is still under warranty but at least now i know that other people are having the same problem as myself and i will inform polar about this.
Did you get the problem sorted out yourself .

No - I'm basically living with it. It's frustrating.

It's intermittent. . .

Cs600 fix

Hi

After replying to you yesterday I got intouch with Polar Uk and stated that the problem in question had started again on the replacement unit. As i only had the unit just less than a year it is still under warranty polar have a 2 year warranty. The person on the phone at Polar sais that he never heard of the problem but told me to wait until he talked to the technical people over there . He came back to the phone and stated that the circuit board had a problem downloading the heart rate information and that polar had a fix for the problem about two months now . If i returned the unit to them they would carry out the repair.

I hope this helps you.
