In a few months I will be buying a new roadbike and will be outfittiing it with all new toys. The one thing I'm stuck on is computer. I realize everyone is going gaga over the garmins but man way to rich for me. The cheapest I can find in Ontario, Canada is $750 with a map package slightly less without the maps. Th9ing is I don't need that anyway. I know were I'm going and have never got lost before. I see Mavic and many others have altimeters built in, I'm sure they are not as accurate as the garmin thou. I guess my question is which would you buy other than garmin? I want following features, hr functions, calories burned, cadance functions, speed, wireless. Any suggestions?

I have got my eye on the new Sigma Sport Rox 9.0. There are not a large number of reviews yet because it is new but initial reports are favorable. My riding buddy has the Blackburn Neuro 6.0 and although he had some issues with it he would definitely buy it again. I think his and another riding buddy had issues with the unit becoming unlatched.

Just about anything made by cateye. I also like the Sigma Sports computers too, more bang for the buck.

I am with you if the OP really just wants the features specified. The new wireless Cateye's, V2C and V3, do not have any analysis software or download capability.

VDO Z-series. The Z2&3 come in a PC version that is relatively simple to connect to a PC and you get more data than you can probably use.
