Anything I should know ...
.... about 18650 batteries?
I've just received my first P7, but the charger and batteries are still enroute.
Never used these kind of batteries before.
Any tips? Anything I should or shouldn't do?

They rock. They charge really fast (at least with this charger). If they malfunction they can catch on fire. They lose little capacity when stored. They're lightweight.
I have one P7 light and 4 protected 18650 cells. I labeled them 1-4 and swap them out after every ride, even if I don't discharge them all the way. The cells are light enough that it's not a problem to carry all the spares in my bag. On high that's over 4 hours of burn time, on medium it's enough to get me from sunset to sunrise. I wouldn't charge them unattended or subject them to extreme heat or cold.

do not leave the 18650 on charger overnight or unattended.. If they do overcharge, 18650 will vent with flame.. This of course is a rare case but be cautious..
Most chargers only take 3-5 hours for full charge..

Charging time depends on the state of charge when placed in the charger. It could take up to 7 hours to fully charge if almost completely discharged.

Thanks for the info.
My batteries (Trustfire) came in yesterday, along with a charger.
I don't know if the batteries were dead -- I would think so -- but they charged quickly, like, two hours.
Left the house too late to use the P7! So don't know what kind of lumen footprint I've got.
I came up with a cool way to mount the flashlight to my helmet, which I'll show in a separate post when I get some pix.
Took DealExtreme a good long while to get the goods delivered, but the flashlight -- an Aurora -- seems to be of good quality.
